The “Ocumare” valley is surrounded by all sizes of cacao plantations inside of the National Park “Henry Pitier”, stretching from north central region to the Caribbean coast of Venezuela.
Thanks to great quality and organoleptic profile, we also source beans from here as part of our own chocolate bars signatures.
Area comprised of multiple-scale farmers, with drying facilities as part of their houses, and others are supported by Governmental or private entities.
These communities built their ermentation wood and drying operations right in these villages to serve post-harvest-controlled process.
A Trinitario variety with high content of “Criollo” blood and violet-colored beans, some traces of pinkish beans can be found and after fermenting process is completed, beans turn into a light brown color.
Strong taste of cacao with an interesting acidity, bitterness and woody flavors. Some notes of fruit, nuts and malt.
